There are different types of funeral service available. On this page we have given a brief description of what are, in our experience, the four most popular choices. If you are unsure as to which would be best for you then we’ll be happy to discuss this with you.
Simple Cremations Personal Service
The vast majority of the funeral services we perform are led by Leanne. Leanne provides a very personal service based on the cherished memories of family and friends. We do not charge for this service.Although it is often completely non-religious some families still like to have the Lord’s Prayer.
If anyone would like to say a few words this is fine too. In this way family and friends can celebrate the life of their loved one in an authentic, genuine and meaningful way.
Choosing a ceremony that relates more to how someone lived seems more appropriate to families, with relatives and friends taking more meaning from a personally relevant celebration.

Humanist Celebrant
The humanist celebrant typically provides a non-religious service. Instead of focusing on religion and the after life they concentrate on celebrating a persons life, recounting stories provided by family and friends. To many this is more personal and meaningful than a religious service. You can expect to pay around £215 for a humanist celebrant.
Religious Celebrant
The religious celebrant (perhaps a Reverend from a local church for example) provides a more traditional funeral service which may likely include hymns and readings of passages from the bible. The religious celebrant, like the humanist celebrant, may also recount stories provided by family and friends. You can expect to pay around £215 for a religious celebrant.
Family member
On occasion a family member or friend has performed their own service. Again, recounting stories and perhaps playing meaningful music. Sometimes no words are spoken at all and mourners instead simply sit and listen to some favourite songs of the deceased.
